Installation Guide
The following instructions are provided as a general guide. If you are unsure at any point, we strongly recommend seeking professional installation, especially for larger decals.
Important: Many window cleaners and detailing products especially those with rain-repellent or hydrophobic properties leave behind a coating that prevents proper adhesion between the vinyl and glass. Ensure all such products are fully removed before installation.
Please note, we cannot issue replacements for damage or errors caused by improper installation or misuse of the product.
For best results, do not install your decal in cold or damp conditions. Low temperatures and moisture can significantly reduce adhesion and shorten the lifespan of the vinyl. We recommend installing at a minimum temperature of 15°C / 59°F. Keep in mind that the adhesive requires at least 24 hours to fully cure. If temperatures drop or moisture is present before curing is complete, the decal may begin to peel.
After installation, avoid getting the decal wet for at least 48 hours to ensure proper adhesion and durability.
Step-by-Step Installation
1. Surface Preparation
Thoroughly clean the surface where the decal will be applied. Remove all dirt, dust, grease, wax, and residue. Any remaining contaminants will prevent proper adhesion.
For glass surfaces, use a clean microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol.
Soap and hot water can be used, but ensure all residue is completely rinsed away.
Avoid glass cleaners, as they often contain ammonia, which leaves a coating that can cause peeling or bubbling.
2. Prepare the Decal
Before applying, firmly but gently press the vinyl onto the transfer tape to ensure proper adhesion. While this is done prior to shipping, it may loosen during transit.
Use a felt edge squeegee, or a credit card wrapped in microfiber.
Apply even pressure without damaging the transfer tape.
3. Position the Decal
Carefully align your decal on the surface. Use masking tape to hold it in place if needed.
Keep in mind vinyl cannot be repositioned once applied.
4. Remove Backing Paper
Slowly peel the backing paper away from the decal at a 45 degree angle.
If the vinyl lifts with the backing, lay it back down and repeat step 2.
For smaller details, gently press them onto the transfer tape using your fingers.
5. Apply the Decal
Place the decal onto the surface, starting from the center and working outward.
Apply firm, even pressure.
Smooth out air bubbles toward the edges.
Any remaining large bubbles can be carefully popped with a pin.
6. Secure the Vinyl
Use a felt squeegee, microfiber cloth, or similar tool to ensure full adhesion.
Be firm but gentle to avoid damaging the vinyl.
7. Let It Set
Allow 10 to 15 minutes for initial adhesion before removing the transfer tape.
8. Remove Transfer Tape
Slowly peel the transfer tape away, pulling parallel to the surface.
Do not pull upward, as this may lift the vinyl.
If lifting occurs, press the decal back down and repeat the previous step.
